THE SEARCH

We are casting a brand-new, five-piece vocal group. For this project, your look does not matter, your vocal identity, range, and ability to bring a distinct personality to life through a microphone is everything.

We are looking for elite vocalists who can master complex harmonies, deliver massive, emotional lead vocals, and inject highly defined character into their performance.
Think the classic era of 5-part vocal pop (Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC) meeting the modern, raw, chart-topping vocal styles of today (Benson Boone, The Weeknd, Teddy Swims).

THE ROLES
 

• "THE BRIGHT TENOR" (Lead / Agile High Tenor)​

  • Vocal Profile: An incredibly agile, bright, and commercial pop voice. Flawless pitch, explosive upper register, and a seamless transition into a commanding falsetto.

  • Vocal References: Jung Kook (BTS), The Weeknd, or Bruno Mars (Classic: Justin Timberlake / JC Chasez).

  • Personality in the Voice: Magnetic, charming, energetic, and effortlessly cool.

• "THE GRITTY SOUL" (Mid-Tenor / High-Emotion Belter)

  • Vocal Profile: A raw, textured, or deeply soulful voice that can deliver earth-shattering high-note belts and gravelly, emotional runs.

  • Vocal References: Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, or Luke Combs (Classic: AJ McLean).

  • Personality in the Voice: Edgy, intense, passionate, and rebellious.​

• "THE STORYTELLER" (Pure / Warm Acoustic Tenor)

  • Vocal Profile: A crystal-clear, warm, and highly stable folk-pop style tenor. Your voice is incredibly soothing, intimate, and carries acoustic intros and soft ballads with absolute sincerity.

  • Vocal References: Myles Smith, Shawn Mendes, or Alex Warren (Classic: Brian Littrell).

  • Personality in the Voice: Earnest, warm, relatable, and deeply sincere.​

• "THE GLUE" (Versatile Pop Baritone / Alt-R&N Edge)

  • Vocal Profile: A rich, dynamic baritone with a flawless ear for vocal production and harmony. Highly versatile, capable of locking down the mid-register, delivering rhythmic verses, or jumping into alt-pop styles.

  • Vocal References: Artemas, Steve Lacy, or Omar Apollo (Classic: Joey Fatone).

  • Personality in the Voice: Playful, eccentric, high-energy, and expressive.​

• "THE ANCHOR" (True Deep Bass / Low-Register Specialist)

  • Vocal Profile: A true, resonant bass or deep baritone. You provide the rumble, the warmth, and the heavy low-end foundation that grounds the entire 5-part harmony.

  • Vocal References: Avi Kaplan (Pentatonix), David Kushner, or Colter Wall (Classic: Lance Bass).

  • Personality in the Voice: Grounded, mature, commanding, and steady.​

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

 

To be considered, please submit to contact@nightstonerecords.com the following:

 

• Vocal Reel / Audio Samples: A minimum of two contrasting vocal clips.

  • Clip 1: A solo showcasing your lead vocal ability, range, and tone.

  • Clip 2: A clip of you singing a harmony part (self-stacked or with a group) to show your ear for blending.

 

• The "Character" Slate: A brief audio intro (15–30 seconds) introducing yourself in the style/attitude of the specific role you are auditioning for. Have fun with it—we want to hear the personality shine through your speaking voice.

 

• Headshot/Photo: (For internal routing and reference only—casting decisions are based strictly on vocal performance and character portrayal).

 

Note to Applicants: This is a studio-first project designed for vocalists who love the recording process, character work, and complex arrangement. Voice actors with elite singing abilities are highly encouraged to submit.
